Alto Technology Resources Names Barbara J. Dunn CEO

HOUSTON, Jan. 22 -- Alto Technology Resources Inc., a leader in hyperspectral remote sensing imaging, today announced that Barbara J. Dunn has been named chief executive officer of the Houston, Texas-based company. In a related move, Dr. Alfredo Prelat was named president and chief technology officer.

Alto Technology Resources Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of ChevronTexaco Corp. and forms part of its ChevronTexaco Technology Ventures unit. Commenting on the announcement, Greg Vesey, president of ChevronTexaco Technology Ventures, said, "We are very pleased to welcome Barbara to the Alto team. She brings a proven track record of strategic management and financial leadership that, together with Dr. Prelat's technical skills, experience and reputation, will help accelerate Alto along its growth plan."

Dunn, who was most recently Texaco's general manager of integration for the ChevronTexaco merger transition team, joined Texaco in 1991 from Arthur Andersen LLP in the corporate consolidations group. During the next four years, she held various positions involving internal and external financial reporting and consolidation before being appointed assistant to the vice president and comptroller in 1995. She was named manager of corporate accounting services two years later, and appointed assistant to the president of worldwide exploration in 1998.

In January 2000, Dunn was appointed assistant to the chairman and CEO of Texaco. She assumed the integration role for the ChevronTexaco merger transition team in December 2000.

Dunn earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Iona College in New York and is a Certified Public Accountant.
