SAN RAMON, Calif., Sept. 2 -- ChevronTexaco Corp. (NYSE: CVX) today announced the sale of its interest in the El Paso, Texas, refinery and certain associated assets to Western Refining Co., L.P. was completed Aug. 29.

Western Refining took ownership of the 90,000 barrel per day refinery complex Aug. 30. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. ChevronTexaco originally announced a definitive sales agreement June 2.
